The name Vön & Dungen originates from an Austrian couple who moved to Patagonia in the 1940’s. Their names were Christopher and Kathy Von Dungen.  They were altruists and practiced fly fishing. As they enjoyed the scenery and the life style of the South, the couple dedicated to sheep breeding and used the wool for knitting sweaters.

Inspired by the lifestyle of this couple, the founders of the brand Vön & Dungen seek to provide the best Argentina has to offer and to utilize entirely domestic production. Vön & Dungen was born in 2003. The final touch that defines the brand comes from the fiber called Ultimate Merino: a natural fibre that comes from renewable resources. The founders used this noble material to complement the cotton products already in production in Vön&Dungen, and this gave a good foundation for the project. The potential of Ultimate Merino wools is, without a doubt, unlimited. Today, the brand belongs to the Paravicini family, who has been in the locus of the textile industry since the 1950’s, and who are specialists in the treatment or wool and cotton.
